Astral Projection Retelling: I was asleep in my bed during this astral journey so at first it felt like an ordinary dream but once I entered the doorway of a rather tall elaborate stone building I realized I had just entered the akashic library... this was no dream.
Astral flight might just be the most exhilarating experience you'll ever have. You may not remember having a one, but that doesn't mean you haven't been on any out-of-body journeys. If you have ever been awakened abruptly due to a physical jerking sensation it likely was your spirit's re-entry into your body after a dreamtime excursion. Or, perhaps you can recall waking up feeling as if you just lost something precious... if so, I would say without question whenever that happens you absolutely had a profound astral experience. It can be very emotional coming back from the astral plane... my best description of it would be an overwhelming feeling of homesickness.
The akashic library resides in the fourth dimension. It is the reference library where life records are stored... past, present, and future. Not everyone has access to the library. You might be given "guest access" for a brief time to look up something in your own life-book but barred from peeking into other people's business. Other people have earned fuller access. If you have karma involving indiscretion or lack of integrity in a past life (or your current life) you will certainly have your library card revoked, at least until those issues have been resolved.
The akashic library is the ultimate place for research and learning, as well as reviewing your past lives. As you might imagine, it is a huge place. I had never been in this particular section of the library before so I was quite impressed. Nor had I ever seen so many people milling about the library halls.
Okay, on to the storytelling. As I said earlier, at first I believed I was adrift in a dream, but my awareness of where I was became heightened once I found myself inside the building. The decor was quite elaborate with an Asian influence. If I had taken a book from a shelf and opened it up my guess is it would have been written in Chinese or perhaps even Sanskrit. But I wasn't there to do research I was there to take a qigong class so I kept walking further and further into the building looking for my instructor and other students. Several other classes were already in session. Reiki classes, yoga, tai chi, and meditation classes.
As I was walking down the various hallways I noticed a friend I know through the Internet who lives in California participating in a meditation and yoga group in a small open space. He didn't notice me but he confirmed with me the next day when I contacted him that he had been in an astral-state-of-being at that exact time. He emembered being instructed by "an awakened one" in a combo meditation-yoga class. We were indeed hanging out in astral together!
Later on I noticed several floating open air shuttle buses others were riding on. I hopped on one as well and rode it outside into the pouring rain. The terrain was mostly mountainous and there was also a waterway that needed to be crossed to get to a village. I hopped off the shuttle while it was still in motion and made my way across the water by foot, climbing over slippery stones and wading through the water. When I had journeyed halfway across the water I looked farther up and saw where the shuttle I had been riding on had stopped. Everyone from the shuttle was being loaded onto a ferry that would carry them safely across the water.
Upon returning to the physical I had myself a good chuckle, I had certainly missed the boat (the ferry). Yet another lesson for me not to be so impatient. If I had not jumped off the astral shuttle I would have been escorted home by ferry rather than wading knee deep in water during a downpour. Of course, I love water and didn't really mind finding my own way.
