Miscellaneous Alice Collectibles For Sale

1. Alice in Wonderland Miniature Doll. Measuring only 3 1/4 inches tall, this diminutive doll is No. 803, one of a limited edition of 1000 designed in the 1980s for the Small Bears For A Big World series by miniature doll artisan Tina Richardson. Head (with long silky blonde hair and black ribbon bow on top, precise hand-painted facial features) and moveable arms and legs are all made of fine porcelain bisque in the fashion of children's dolls of the Victorian age. Alice is wearing a pale blue dress with dark blue accents and a white lacy upper front with tiny white buttons and a matching white lacy bloomers beneath dress. Doll is suspended from from neck by means of a white-enameled metal stand enclosed within a clear plastic display case with black bottom that measures 2 1/4 inches wide by 5 1/4 inches high. Across bottom of display case in gold letters it reads "World Of Miniature Bears." Comes with a small Certificate of Authenticity card signed by Tina Richardson. On front of card it reads as follows: "This is to certify that you have acquired a genuine, Limited Edition miniature collectible. The fact that each miniature has been lovingly hand made assures that no two are ever exactly alike. We know you will have many years of enjoyment from our beautiful line and will want to continue to add to your valuable collection. ---World Of Miniature Bears." The back of card reads as follows: "Small Bears For A Big World series. I was designed by Tina Richardson, L.E. 1000." You should see the attention given to the many fine details on this miniature doll! Like new in exhibit case. $95.00

2. Alice in Wonderland 48-Piece Antique Replica "Notched"Card Construction and Building Set featuring the original illustrations by Sir John Tenniel in full color, No. 19895, Merrimack Publishing Corporation, New York. Reproduced from the antique original set in 1989 and printed in Hong Kong. Both box and complete set of 48 cards are in excellent condition. $30.00

3. Alice in Wonderland Child's Wristwatch, Swiss made with white plastic band. Face of watch shows Alice (blond hair, blue dress, white apron) standing and leaning slightly forward to face a tiny animated Mad Hatter who bobs back and forth to count the seconds when watch is running. The name "Alice" is printed on the left side of watch face just above the Hatter. Watch still runs and is in very good condition for its age (1950s?), except that the little center prong from the clasp is missing. $95.00

4. Mad Hatter Bracelet Charm measures one inch (2.5 cm) from bottom of left foot to top of small metal loop attached to top of hat. I am not certain of the metal. It shows no identification marks of any kind ,but I think it is sterling silver. Charm is intended to be attached with the large metal ring to a charm bracelet or perhaps worn around the neck as a pendant with a string or chain. This small charm is highly detailed even to the hat size printed on the tag at bottom of hat. Perfect condition. $10.00

17. Rare Alice in Wonderland Spinning Top. Features colorful images of Alice with the Flamingo, the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, and Humpty Dumpty. Made in the USA by Colmor. This colorful child's toy measures 6 x 6 3/4 inches. It is quite clean and in very good condition for its age, 1950s. I assume it still works although I have never actually tried to make it spin. I bought this top at an antique store in the early 80s and have kept it on display in a curio cabinet in my home as part of my private Alice in Wonderland collection. The underside of this tin top shows considerable wear from use (much of the gold paint is worn off) but no dents or scratches. There are also no dents or scratches on the upper painted surface and no signs of wear on the painted images, except a little wear above Humpty Dumpty's eyes (see photo), quite remarkable for a toy that was obviously once handled by children and is now over forty years old. There can't be many of these tops surviving today in this condition. $125.00

SHIPPING/HANDLING COSTS: For fastest receipt of your purchase, the preferred payment is by Cashier's Check, US Postal Money Order, or International Money Order, but I will now also accept VISA or MasterCard via PayPal. Personal checks are okay, but expect up to ten days for your check to clear my bank before I send the package. The same day I receive payment by Cashier's Check or Money Order or PayPal I will send your order. I normally ship Priority Mail Insured, unless you request a different method. Insurance will be automatically included with the postage charge unless you specifically request no insurance (not recommended). I will ship outside the US but that amount, as well as the cost of shipping by any other mail classes, will also have to be determined by me after you provide me with your Zip code. Weight of package, destination, and any special packaging materials will decide the final shipping expense. As soon as I have determined the final shipping expense, I will e-mail you and indicate your total cost for shipping and handling. While I always carefully package things for mailing, I will not be responsible for uninsured items that get lost or damaged during shipment. Therefore, insurance is recommended.
